Merry Christmas, Ski Lessons & Museum
Merry Christmas Everyone. These past few weeks have been crazy! I can't believe that Christmas is over and we will be heading out to UT to visit Family in the next few days.Yesterday Camden and Britton took there first successful ski lessons. We have a little ski resort 5 min from our house. Britton is in the top picture. They had so much fun. Andrew just skied the hill all day waiting till 3 when the boys were done. Hurray for ski lessons
Camden also enjoyed the day. In January he starts ski school, where he will go 5 weeks on every friday. They have got it together here for sure with the snow. We are heading up to the National Park to try out our snow shoes.. should be eventful!
Merry Christmas! This was Christmas Morning. The girls at the office gave the boys this basketball hoop and balls. It was so thoughtful. The boys have been playing with it this morning. I love new pjs for Christmas.. or anytime of the year!
More Traditions... This year we continued with our gingerbread house tradition. The boys had so much fun. Andrew was the judge after we were done. 3 days after they sat around, Cam & Brit chose to eat theirs... yummmmm.. We also played our Christmas bingo... I kind of cheated to make it go a little faster... I would look at their cards to see what they needed to win.. oh well.
One Last Amazing Place to Visit. On the 19th Andrew had a CE Class down in Denver, so instead of sitting in the house I went down with him and took the boys to the Children Museum. It was so darling. This area that Britton is in was like a forest and the kids could dress up like the animals, find food and live in that particular habitat. In this picture he is an ant. They had so much fun. Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Love, The Burns

We were able to have the Missionaries over and some families from our area. Some of the girls from the office also came. It was the perfect evening.
On Christmas Day we headed over to Kremmling. yeah kind of a weird name.. The boys were able to sled and ride on snowmobiles.. they are learning all about 'big toys' and taking a liking to them.

I love December!!
Friday, the Day after Thanksgiving Andrew, Grandpa and the boys went tree shopping and we put up the tree. The boys had so much fun having Grandma & Grandpa & Uncle John coming for Thanksgiving. Andrew had lofty dreams of going out in the mountains and cutting a tree down... Maybe next year babe! I had visions of having a chipmunk family living in the tree he picked and having a rodent problem..
Last night our little town had the 'Light Parade'. It was really small, but so darling. Santa was on one of the floats... And the town lights the big tree in front of Andrew's office. Ya gotta love that small town feeling.
Fishing anyone? Okay this was taken a few weeks ago when we took the boys fishing. The sunset was amazing.. it was freezing cold and Camden caught the only fish.
Happy Turkey Day.. So this year I had great dreams of going out to eat for Thanksgiving Dinner, but since we had family come into town we made the Traditional Thanksgiving. Dinner was amazing, but once again what did my children eat??? I think they all had a roll. So next year if you are planning on spending Thanksgiving with us, you are welcome to join us at the local eatery. (I am not kidding)(And yes Amy & Anna, I did not make the turkey headband... it goes back to my new motto 'why make it when you can buy it)

Happy Halloween, Happy Birthday, Happy Snow!!!
Happy Snow!!! Yesterday we didn't have much to do.. So we took a little drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was snowing and the pass that connects Grand Lake to Estes Park is closed now. We drove over last weekend and it was clear. This is not what it looks like at our house.. we hardly have any snow.. okay we don't have any. The boys had fun throwing snow balls and getting Dad! It was so beautiful. Our intent was to find some Elk, but they have all gone home.. where ever that is.
Happy Birthday Andrew!!! Yep that is the big '3' '5' on that cake, it is actually RED because the UTES won the night before with 45 seconds on the clock! Go UTES.. that was his present so it made my job easy. If you were at our house an hour earlier you would have seen the 2 pieces of the football cake on the rack cooling and then in the little hands of 2 two year olds chomping away! Good thing Andrew saved it!
Happy Halloween! I have been wanting to post this picture of Andrew since Halloween. He was in the local newspaper on Monday.. I had to die laughing because so many people made comments.. It is up for the borrow next year! He was soooo happy it came with a mask. The boys had fun trick or treating on Main and just hanging out. I was so glad to take all the Decorations down and start on Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween

So the Cookies are delivered and the pumpkins are carved. We have 2 more nights of Halloween and on to Thanksgiving. The boys had tons of fun carving pumpkins once again. I will have to post pictures of their costumes once they wear them. Britton has his party at the ranch today and Trunk or Treating at the church tonight. Should be fun! Tomorrow night we have Trick or Treating on Main Street. I think we are just going to make that our tradition since we have done it for the past 5 years, and there aren't any real neighborhoods that we know everyone in! oh well.
Have a Happy Halloween.

First Snow

Sunday we woke up to 1 inch of snow. The boys were so excited because the day before we rented skis for the season. You should have seen Braden and Peyton clomping around in their boots. HILARIOUS! and Camden and Britton are so excited to wear their helmets and goggles. I think it will be a fun season for all.
So after church on Sunday the snow had all but melted. Camden was devistated that he wasn't able to ski. Little does he know! I am sure by March next year he will be sick of the stuff. who knows. 34 More days till Winter Park opens.. so if you are feeling like skiing, we will be more then happy to feed ski bums!
Nothing much going on! Andrew is ZERO in the Elk Department! Hopefully after this weekend he will be ZERO in the deer dept. As you can tell I am a huge fan! We love and miss all!
Fall, Pumpkins, Hay in my hair!
Tuesday Night we went on over to Britton's Preschool. It is this amazing 5 star Ranch that offers preschool to local kids. It is so darling! We arrived at the ranch at the perfect time. Every night they run their 100 horses up the dirt road to the pasture for the night. It was so cool to see all the horses! Then we went on a hay ride out to a pumpkin patch. Each family got to pick one pumpkin. Then we went back and enjoyed a potluck with all the families. It was a perfect night. Britton has loved riding ponies and digging holes in real back hoes.

Searching
So I am in search of the perfect console table to go behind my sofa.. So today I went down to Denver to get my braces off.. okay so they are still on and I will have to go back down to Denver in another month to hopefully have them removed!! But what is another trip all alone? After my appointment I had to run over to the Mall and I was in Pottery Barn and the lady was showing me the tables that they had and I like this one, but I told her that I had 4 boys and I would have to make sure that the bottom shelf would withstand my boys sitting and laying on it. So the nice lady stepped on the bottom part.. you see the basket... and we heard this crack! Needless to say I did not buy and she agreed it was not a good fit! Absolutely Hilarious!!!

Ahhhhh September!!
September has brought a lot of changes and excitement at our house. On the 2nd Camden started 1st grade. He is so excited to be a Bear! He loves his teacher and the best part is that we go Monday thru Thursday! We get Fridays off and we are loving it! Britton also started pre-school. On Thursday he rode a pony. He loves going to school at a 5 star dude ranch! Who wouldn't! Maybe I should go to pre-school and he can stay home.It has been nice to have time to play with Braden & Peyton with the older boys in school. I just wish there was a Costco or real mall around to go with just 2 kids instead of 4... some day....
After the First day of School we went up to Rocky Mountain National Park and floated a zucchini and watermelon boat. Do you have any guesses which one won?? Actually the watermelon won because the zucchini was caught under some brushes. The boys had tons of fun floating them. Thank you Grandma Burns for supplying the zucchini and Dave for the Watermelon!
Over Labor Day we went up to Bear Lake to play with cousins and enjoy family. After church we took a picture of the kids in front of Grandpa Stucki's house. We love playing with cousins.. I do have to say that we have a cute bunch of cousins that play soooo well together.

Thank you Grandma Burns for supplying the zucchini and Dave for the Watermelon!A park ranger actually came up to us and asked us to move our car back to the parking lot. I thought she was going to ask us to remove our paper pirates and flags, but she was very nice and chatted and watched the boys float their boats. So fun! Who else has the National Park 15 minutes away? We have also been up a few more times since then to see the elk! Camden loves hanging out the window with his elk bugle, the elk look on over and see this bug suburban instead of an elk!

I do have to say that we have a cute bunch of cousins that play soooo well together. On Saturday we played on our big blowup waterslide instead of the Lake, it was supposed to be windy and all the kids are small! So later on we were thinking that it would have been fun to go out on the boat... but do you think with 3 SUVs, did anyone bring a hitch??? nope! Uncle Dave did come up later on with his family and we were going to go out on Monday.. okay can you say rain! it poured Sunday night and Monday. We left Idaho at 10am and we had snow in Wyoming!!! Once we got down into Colorado it was beautiful. We loved our little summer vacation. See you on Memorial Day!
Mike (Andrew's dad's friend) drew out on the big elk this year. So of course Andrew needs to go out and help find the 'big one'. Who would have known that 5 men need to go out and help find that one Elk.... I can't imagine how many woman need to go out and hunt down that perfect sweater that I need this winter.. maybe I need to get some girls together to go hunting! You can't tell that I am frustrated sitting at home with 4 little crazies for 3 weekends in 1 1/2 months! Actually he probably does need a break.. he has been working hard!
Ahhhhhh September.. now that I have posted a blog, i don't feel guilty and I will start to read everyone's blogs again... I couldn't bring myself to read when I hadn't posted myself..

Happy 4th of July.... and 5th and 6th and 7th and 8th!!
Happy 4th!
That's our boy!!! I turned around and found Peyton showing off his new trick.. Now I find Peyton and Braden in the corner doing it together.. so funny!

This is my summer life saver! The boys have had so much fun playing on the slide.

Happy 4th of July! It just happens to be one of my most favorite Holidays! We were able to go the the happening Granby Parade and that night we hiked to Adams Falls and watched the fire works right over Grand Lake. I have felt like we have been on vacation for the past 3 weeks. We have explored Rocky Mountain Park and other areas... like Silverthorn for there amazing wild life and shopping!

I finally feel a little settled.. count your self lucky if I didn't call you the first week we were here.. you would have just heard crying and my kids asking me to stop in the back ground.
I really think there should be like and AA for the 'post-graduation have to settle into real life' people of the world. I am telling you! UofM did us no favors making our life so easy and full of friends and joy! Now the hard reality hits!! We are in this strange place and the only people we know are our employees. And lets not start in on 'Branch' life.. I will save that for a rainy day.
I was ready to sell the practice a few days after we got here! My feelings have changed somewhat!
The area is absolutely beautiful and we are loving the amazing wild life. We took the boys out the first Saturday we were here and did a little fishing. They had so much fun!
We love and miss you all.....

Bye Bye Pocatello

I just wanted to drop a note to say 'see ya'! to Pocatello. It has been fun while it lasted.. Tomorrow we make the maiden voyage to SLC and then onto Granby on Sunday!
Here are the top 10 reasons I will miss you...
10- Your Zoo Rocks!! On the website it boasts of 'animals native to SE Idaho.. You are darn straight! Those deer and elk were amazing!
9- You always hear how Pocatello is the Armpit of Idaho.. Ruth was here this weekend and said it was Twin Falls.. We will just say it is a tie.
8-Okay I am not joking about this one, TJ MAX ROCKS... ask Ruth, she said it was better then the Twin Falls one! And Jeremy P was on the nose.. Polo what?
7-Pine Ridge Mall okay, so ShopKo is the BIG anchor.
6-Costco is coming in August.. if it was here while I was here, I think my kids would have eaten the samples everyday for lunch... at least while school was in because in the summer you get free lunch in the park for all children under the age of 19! that should be my #5
5- see free lunch
4-Camden Survived Kindergarten... and so did mommy
3-Andrew worked with AMAZING people at the clinic... we will miss there knowledge and friendship.
2-I will miss Homi, he is our neighbor, the only reason we know your name is because we accidently got your mail once. Thank you for letting us use your garbage can, when we couldn't possibly fit another diaper into ours. Thank you for pulling in your garage and shutting the door so you wouldn't have to put a face with the voice you hear coming through the wall. Here's to you Homi! Lest we not forget the cat lady.. 2 doors up.. If it wasn't for you I would have enjoyed sitting in front of our town house.. Thank you for leaving your garage 3 inches open so all the stray cats could come eat your food and leave their smell.
1-The number one reason I will miss Poky is all the amazing friends that we met along the way.. We have treasured all the fun times and chats at the playground and girls night out! I love and miss you all.. See you in the Springs Valerie...

Ohhhh Britton!
So I have been having this conversation that Britton and Camden had in my head for a few weeks.. so here it is!!Britton: 'Camden you have nibbles'
Camden: 'No I DON'T'
Britton: 'YES YOU DO!!'
Camden: 'NO I DON'T!'
Britton, lifting his shirt up showing everyone his nipples 'yes you do, right here!'
If you know Britton, you can just imagine him yelling at the top of his lungs... what am I going to do with that boy? I did buy the book 'Love and Logic' for me to read, just for him! Hopefully it works.. now I need to find the time to read it!

It has been a while...
Okay I am always late with that darn camera... just moments before I ran to get it.. Braden, Peyton and Isaac Rich we all in the car fighting for it! We were laughing so hard... oh the joy! The twins have been fighting back lately with there fists and throwing there bodies onto each other. I have a hard time stopping it because it is so funny!I do have to say Go Kathleen and Carol and Courtney for doing the Woman of Steel Marathon.. you are all my heros!
So about a week ago we went down to have the Burns Family pictures taken.. i have heard they turned out darling! We can't wait to see them. Afterwards we went to the nearby park and hung out and ate lunch. Grandpa B. was helping the twins eat there teddy grams.. so darling. I am surprised that Peyton is reaching for some because he had to have his hands in his pockets for all the pictures! he was so darling.Other then having 25 days left before we move, nothing else going on here! Actually we need your help.. here is our issue... To Penske or not to Penske... so to Penske it would cost us $1200 with gas etc. United Van lines it would cost us $4000. But the benefits go far beyond the extra money we would get to pay... United will load our crap onto the truck and unload it.. how nice would that be.. it should be Andrew's Christmas gift.
And for all those who know me.. my house is not all packed yet.. but do you think I can pack my dishes and just eat off of paper for 3 weeks? Talk to me! This past weekend we went down to SLC and enjoyed seeing family and friends. The boys love hanging out with cousins and friends.. i love having more then Walmart to shop around in.

A conversation with a 5 year old!
"Shit is a bad word mom. You can say shi and then T, but not shit" That was Michelle's conversation with Camden while I was in Granby, CO working at our new practice. We have no idea where he hears such things, I think that it is from K-garten where he has learned about and is afraid of the "Billys", learned about little white eggs in your hair, and other fun subjects!
Anyway we have now owned our own practice for nearly a month and so far it has gone great. We just can't wait to move and be there full time and finally get to settle down.
Here is a pic of Granby from when I visited in January. It wasn't such a nice day but with over 300 days of sunshine a year whats not to love!!

Happy Birthday My little Boys!! & 70 Days... who's counting
Peyton & Braden opening presents with help from big Bro!
Two Years ago today we brought home Peyton home after spending 10 days in the NICU (Braden was already home).
We are so Grateful for The University of Michigan and there
amazing health care team!
I can't believe how blessed we were to live there during the birth
of our boys!
They are developing there little personalities and it is so fun!
sprinkles... okay don't look too close, I was so proud of my
criso coverage on the bundt pan and then when i flipped it over
the top didn't come out... AHHHHH I forgot to flour it!
Also lets talk about the magic number 70! We are so excited to move on over to Colorado. We went out there 2 weeks ago and fell in love.. it is a good thing because we can't go back now.

Happy Easter & Happy End of March!!
All the Burns Grandkids.. They usually run off once the last Kid is sitting down.. for some reason this time they sat
for 5 minutes after the picture was taken.. so funny!
Happy Easter Everyone.. So I have been meaning to update with some fabulous news... but that can wait a minute!
For Easter we were able to see both our families, beginning with an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday with Andrew's family. Great time had by all and the best part is that we left all the kiddos with husbands and grandma so that the sisters and sisters-in-laws could go shopping. So fun! And if you haven't been to 'Quilted Bear' like I haven't been in years they have some fabulous stuff! And I am not sure who the poor soul is that is still selling the bird houses from the 90's, but someone should tell them it is okay not to make them anymore! But what do I know?? I haven't bought a decoration for my house in years..
Sunday we had another fab. Easter Egg hunt at my parents. The boys love being spoiled on such occasions.. maybe that is why they think everyday is a party and they should be showered with gifts. Hmmmmmm.
And the most exciting news of the week is that Andrew signed his life away!! We are so excited to start our new life in the Mountains of Colorado! Here we come at the end of June!

Bite... Me???
Partners in crime! Earlier in the day Braden Climbed up on our bed, which is really high, and
Climbed on top of our counter and was pouring
water all over business documents of Andrews!
Peyton's poor back!!Our boys are really good.. if I do say so myself. But this twin thing is killing me! My two older boys never bit anyone!! I am not joking.. and I have never had an issue with the nose picking either.. okay Camden is a booger roller.. but that beats eating it!! So along come Braden & Peyton. A few days ago they are both on the stairs, Peyton lets out a scream, they both come a running... Since that great day, Peyton has a bite on his face by his eye.. this time there was blood.
Suction Bowls!!!!

So a while back, when I decided it was time for the twins to start feeding themselves, I thought I would get some of those suction bowls!
I had these lofty ideas that they would stay suctioned to the table, as they are marked, and my darlings will be well mannered and feed away!
No such luck... those little stinks can get them off the table and thrown across to there older brothers like any other bowl! So I then thought they would be perfect for their little snack in the afternoon! I guess that is okay if you want to be picking up fruit snacks forever!!!
'Dr Drill & Fill'

Camden, aka Dr Drill & Fill, was working on teeth this week. He kept calling the little head Chandler (after his cousin). It was quite funny. And speaking of teeth, Camden lost his first tooth! Our first baby has lost his tooth. I have never seen a kid so excited to lose a tooth. Andrew kind of gently pushed it out and Camden pulled back. Needless to say the toothfairy never found the tooth! What is the going rate anyway? The local Pocatello toothfairy left a dollar.. could have been a penny and Camden would have been just as excited!
So I really have these grand ideas for our blog all day long and they sound so great! But do I make it to the computer in time? NO!

Tag I am it.. again with a fun twist!

So darling Angie tagged me a while back, and I don't want her to think I am neglecting her.. so here we go.
How long have you been together?
Our 8th wedding anniversary is coming up on March 9th! I can't believe that we have been married for 8 years and 4 kiddos later. That is crazy. I always secretly hope for a romantic get a way, say for a year, but it never happens.. maybe number 9 is my magic number since we won't be in school or in residency. (school and residency are code words for 'poor')
Who said "I love you" first?
I am sure it was Andrew.. knowing myself back then it was probably a bit of a game to get him to say it. I do have to say though I knew that when Andrew would say it he would mean it.. i love him so!
Who is Smarter?
Hands down Andrew in the Dental Department.. I am a close 2nd. I still have to count my teeth with my tongue when he is talking about #24. On the business side of things I get the gold star, along with bright ideas on how to live our life. This is the way it works. I tell Andrew this Idea that I have about something, Andrew says that he doesn't like it we should do it another way, then a few days later he has this great idea (which is the one I presented to him a few days ago). So really who knows who is smarter?
Who Pays the Bills?
So, pre-dental life i was obsessed with our finances and where our $$ was going. When we entered School, i decided to enter denial and Andrew did all of our payments etc. okay so I did handle some of it. Now that we are moving forward with life, i have taken it upon my self to be a partner again in the bills dept.
Who Cooks?
Our Pre-Twin life I like to cook and loved to cook for neighbors... you know who you are! Now I have to be honest with you and myself, poor poor Andrew puts in a hard days work and when he comes home i like to sit on the couch and watch him make dinner. okay that isn't 100% of the days of the week. I would say 49%. I do have to say hats off to Carol, Andrew's mother. She did an awesome job teaching her boys how to cook and make a mean gravy.
Who is the most stubborn?
Ya know, I would say that I am. Or maybe Andrew likes to make me think that I get my way because it is the better way!
Who wears the pants?
When it comes right down to the pants.... Andrew. Do you believe that?
3 random things about me....
-I feel like an open book most of the time. I am trying to be more private. I'll let ya'll know if it works
-Having twins has done me in! The one thing that I can attribute to them right now is that I am not Pregnant (following our 2 year plan) because of them. So I guess there are some blessings in our trials.
-I haven't told anyone yet, but I started electrolsys on my unwanted hair.. Ask to see my armpits next time we are hanging out. I have only been to one treatment.. I am addicted!
This has been fun, I feel like my life has been a bit of a bore.. I am waiting for the big June 30 to pack my bags and move from this desolate wind tunnel they call the Arm Pit of Idaho..

Its FREEZING in Pocatello!!!
Nothing very exciting going on here in southeast Idaho besides being colder than hell with the damn wind thrown in to make it even worse, so here are a few pics to brighten your day.

Braden and Peyton love to empty boxes of Kleenex, or wipes, or whatever they can find!
Michelle displaying her musical side.
