Christmas Hangover

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
Christmas has come and gone at our house.. yes, Andrew went to work this morning with an amazing tree and decorations, and came home to a clean home! Yep... it is all packed away. The next time I decorate a tree we will be in Colorado!  YAHOOO
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with the boys, reading the Christmas story, playing bingo, opening that one present that they get every Christmas eve (PJs).
Thank you to all that sent Christmas Cards, I secretly wish there was some sort of competition on our street for who got the most Christmas Cards.. I am sure we would have won!!
Have a happy week..

Winter has arrived in Pocatello

Well we finally had a bit of a snowstorm in Pocatello so Camden and Britton decided they needed to go sledding.  We went out on the little hill behind our house and they had a good ol time.  It looks like we are going to have a white Christmas after all.

Camden and Britton enjoying the new snow.

More sledding

Michelle, Braden and Peyton enjoying the sledding from the warmth of the house.

Christmas 1977 and Hail to the Victors!!!

Here is a pic of Michelle, we are guessing it is 1977 when she was 2.5.  Do you think the twins look like her?

A pic for comparison.

And another one cause they are so damn cute!

Michelle made one of these blankets for each of the boys for Christmas.  Isn't she amazing!!!

I need to give a shout out to all the Michigan fans.  We got our coach and I think that he is going to be a great one.  He may have been the third choice, but I think he is the best of the bunch.  GO BLUE!!!

11 Days Till Christmas

I love Christmas.. but I can't wait till it is over!  Picture Britton on the filthy floor of Fred Meyer crying because I didn't give in to his latest whim. (before we went into the store we totally had that 'talk' that you can show me what you would like for Christmas, just don't ask for it) And for all of you that know Britton, he is not quiet!  I just kept on walking, looking back once in a while to make sure that he was still there (not really, I can hear that he is still there and I was just looking back so that I looked like a loving parent).  Finally he comes our way... at what point do I get a Psychologist?  I am not kidding!  This kids works it.. maybe I am the one in need of a Psychologist.  And a little disclamer on his loudness, I have finally blamed God for why he is so loud.. he can't help it, that is the voice he was given at birth!  So from now on the kids stay home with Dad when I go out shopping.. I am done!!
On to Christmas Cards.. I am such a fan of snail mail for Christmas.. Thanks to all who have sent out the cards!! I think the Cards from Friends and Family are the best gifts ever!!
I took the Twins to Camden's School for there Christmas Presentation.  Camden did a wonderful job singing his songs. Not to sure why they teach those kids songs they have never heard, or will ever sing again.. but what ever.. it was fun.  Then music teacher totally gives the shpeal that you should stay for the whole presentation of all the grades and 'support the school' by not leaving after your kids of done.  I am going to arrive 1 hour early next time so I can get a front row seat so I can leave.. I am not kidding.
Happy Counting down to Christmas. We made a chain for the kids to count down till Christmas Eve.. I not sure if it was more for me!

November Happenings

Here is our November update from windy Pocatello.

Britton, Camden, Drew, Peyton, Braden, & Will

Peyton on the left and Braden on the right demonstrating the absolute unnecessity of buying toys.

Britton is in the process of transitioning to life without a daily nap.  Some days he just can't resist the urge to catch a few ZZZZ's, even in the most unlikely of positions.

On the 7th I turned another year older.  Can anyone guess how old I am.  Thanks Talli for the recipe for the yummiest cake ever.

Braden is investigating Michelle's new braces.  We are just correcting her one imperfection, that slightly rotated lateral!

Setting up our wonderful Christmas Tree.  Maybe next year we will finally have a real tree.

Our month started off with a ton of driving.  Thursday, the 1st after work we all drove to Boise.  The next day I attended a CE course titled "Everything you wanted to know about street drugs, but were afraid to ask."  While I went to the lecture Michelle and the boys hung out with the Tadjes.  Thanks Jared and Trina for letting us stay the night and invade your beautiful home for a day.  Everyone had a great time and that evening we made the long drive back to Pocatello.  The next morning, on Saturday, I started my moonlighting job in Twin Falls, so I woke up at 4:30 and made the 120 mile drive to work for 10 hours.  The next morning, Sunday we made a day trip to Salt Lake for blessing of Austin Allen(newest nephew in Michelle's family).  So in 4 days we drove about 1100 miles with twin 18 month olds that get very tired of driving.  Thank goodness Camden and Britton have the DVD to watch.

On the 7th I turned another year old.  I got a new universal remote(what more could a man want?).  Michelle made me the yummiest kahlua cake(thanks for the recipe Talli) and all in all it was a great birthday.

For Thanksgiving we traveled to SLC to Granpa & Grandma Burns house.  It was a great turkey dinner with good times with the family.  We stayed in Riverton with my sister til saturday and unfortunately on Friday Camden came down with a ragin case of Conjuctivitis(pink eye), so hopefully he didn't spread the love.

We set up all the Christmas decorations to put us in the holiday mood to close a now very cold and windy month of November.

Here is a Christmas greeting from the Burns Boys.

TAG I'm It

So, a few weeks ago Emily Tagged me.  Since Super Sat & our Church talks are over (thank Heavens) I have no excuse.
Here are the rules:
1. The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves- try to find 6 you haven't posted.
2. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, and then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for the rules.

*I went down to Texas to be a Flight Attendant for Southwest Airlines when I was 23.  After a few days I came home.  (I think I am on the list that says I can't ever be a Flight Attendant for them)

*When I worked for the Pie Pantry at Cherry Hill, a lady told me she wanted her pie warm after I had already put the ice cream on it.  So I picked up the ice cream with my fingers right in front of her.. I don't understand why she was mad..

*I won a Tiffany shirt and perfume from a radio station.

*I have a habit of looking at peoples teeth, I am not sure why?  I also thought boys in High School were hot with braces.

*I am coping Emily with the interview question... I was once asked in a job interview what kind of Car I would be... I said that I would be a Jeep, so that I can go over anything and go anywhere I wanted... I got the job.

*I am obsessed with having the kitchen clean before I go to bed.

So now I am tagging Talli, Jessica, Anna, Charlynn, David, and I am going to have to think of a 6th..

Happy Halloween

Our Spooky Jack-O-Lanterns 2007

It's not Main Street Ann Arbor Trick or Treating, but Old Main Pocatello!!

Elementary Halloween Parade

Hello?? Mommy?? Are you there??

The Cutest Peyton!!!

We prefer these skunks to the Northwood V variety!!

Ready for Grandma's Halloween Party

Camden "Anakin" Burns

So, I do have to say that we have two of the most darling skunks ever!! I feel like Halloween has dragged on for a week.. and I am grateful that it is over after tonight. It started off with a Trunk or Treat at the church last Friday, Saturday we brought the kids down to Grandma Reames for a Spooky party with all the cousins, and Monday we carved pumpkins! Today we took pictures for Camden's class and enjoyed being apart of his class for an hour. Andrew came along and passed out toothbrushes. We are all for the dental hygiene.
We went Trick-or-treating on main street in old town pocatello, it wasn't quite the same as main street Ann Arbor, but it will do for this year.
As I write this I am missing the Northwood Parade and trick or treating with dear friends. Andrew misses pumpkin bowling with the real skunks in the neighborhood!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

A Hunting we will GO!!!

Camden playing with his cousins

Britton and his cousin Christian

On the lookout for that big buck!

The boys and Grandpa Burns

Hanging out in camp

So Last weekend Andrew, Camden, and Britton went down to Utah for the Deer Hunt! I do have to say that they were successful in not bringing home a Deer. That made me happy! They Enjoyed playing with cousins and waking up at 5 am to go out with Grandpa and Uncle Kim to seek their prey. Grandma Burns was very impressed that they were so willing to go. The most excitement they had was when Andrew shot at a coyote. They all had a great time and can't wait to go again.

We LOVE Colorado

So, at the encouragement from Amy P we are creating our Blog. When I created the name for our blog a few months back I didn't see any reason to tell people about merely existing in Pocatello for the 8 1/2 months that we have left. But then I remembered that our life isn't Pocatello.. it is about our 4 amazing boys and the love we share for them and each of you.. so get ready for some great stories and maybe a song or two from Britton.
We started our Colorado Trip by staying a week in Estes Park and driving through Rocky Mountain National Park. It is so beautiful and would dare say I like it more then Yellowstone. We saw more animals in RMNP.. so we are sold! We spent our days driving around town looking at the Elk by the High School and Andrew visiting Reps in Denver. We did see our friends from Michigan the Millwards for Sunday Dinner as well as a day in Estes Park. We had so much fun catching up and sharing 'twin' stories. There children are so darling and April made a zucchini boat with the boys that we floated down the river. It was so fun!
We were able to drive all over the Front Range and fell in love with a lot of communities.. we are excited to see where we will be.
Friday night we spend the day with the Pollarys. The boys had so much fun playing with Jill!
